Plastic Innocence
The road from childhood to our adult life is not a constant mitigated path. Memories, innocence, our environment are all plastic-reshaped, re-shifted, repercussive, and inescapable. The shadows of life experiences resurface then recede challenging the moment, challenging our beliefs.
Our installation brings together plastic children's toys and the organic landscape to address and question not only the recycled nature of the physical objects present, but events in our lives that are linked to childhood and the forming of our character. By doing this we hope the viewer considers or reflects on choices made in daily activities, because although the effects of these choices may not always be immediate or apparent they will always be present.
